The HEET-Medical provides complete coverage of the torso at all times. Worn as a jacket, it cannot be blown off during transport, but is versatile enough to be opened flat for pre-attachment to a spine-board or litter. A series of Velcro closures provides access to any area of the body without exposing other areas to ambient air. Completely functional, the HEET-Medical can be worn from incident to surgery without inhibition of care. It’s easy access to heater pockets allows for continual replacement of active heat devices on prolonged transport, or allows for ventilation of a single compartment for the release of excess heat.
